Welcome

In the spirit of St Julie Billiart, our foundress,
and the tradition of the Congregation,
we, the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur,
see ourselves situated within God’s
continuing action in history.
Our common aim is to express in our time,
that God is good.
In fidelity to Julie’s preference
for the poor in the most abandoned places,
we choose to stand with the poor
as they struggle for adequate means
for human life and dignity.

Dans l’esprit de Ste Julie Billiart, notre fondatrice,
et suivant la tradition de la Congrégation,
nous nous situons dans l’histoire.
Notre but commun consiste à exprimer
aujourd’hui que Dieu est bon.
En fidélité à la préférence de Julie pour
les pauvres des lieux les plus abandonnés,
nous choisissons d’être solidaires avec eux
quand ils luttent pour trouver les moyens
de mener une vie humaine et digne.
